1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using lagtut2, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

lagtut2 is an expense tracking application that helps users:

  • Track shared expenses with other users (mellomværende)
  • Record transactions and upload receipts
  • Calculate balances between partners
  • Acknowledge and settle debts
  • Archive historical relationships

3. User Accounts

Registration:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
  • One account per person - multiple accounts are not permitted

Account Security:

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • We are not liable for losses from unauthorized access

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Accuracy: Provide accurate transaction information
  • Acknowledgment: Review and acknowledge transactions in a timely manner
  • Communication: Resolve disputes with partners directly and civilly
  • Legal Compliance: Use the service only for legal purposes
  • No Fraud: Not create fake transactions or manipulate balances

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the service for fraudulent purposes
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
  • Upload malicious files or viruses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
  • Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Mellomværende (Partnerships)

Creating Partnerships:

  • Both parties must consent to the partnership via invitation system
  • A snapshot of partner information is saved at creation time
  • Optional ID document upload for verification purposes

Transaction Acknowledgment:

  • Both parties must acknowledge transactions for them to affect the balance
  • Unacknowledged transactions are visible but don't count toward settlement
  • You have the right to dispute transactions before acknowledging

Archiving:

  • Either party can archive a mellomværende
  • Archived relationships are hidden but data is retained
  • Both parties can restore archived relationships

7. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content:

  • You retain ownership of content you upload (receipts, transaction details)
  • You grant us a license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to uploaded content

Our Content:

  • lagtut2 interface, design, and code are our intellectual property
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service "As Is":

  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • We are not liable for data loss (though we make best efforts to prevent it)

Not Financial Advice:

  • lagtut2 is a tracking tool, not financial or legal advice
  • We do not mediate disputes between users
  • We are not responsible for financial decisions made using the service

Limitation of Liability:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (currently free)

9. Termination

By You:

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

By Us:

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • We may discontinue the service with 30 days notice

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified via:

  • Email notification to registered users
  • Prominent notice on the website
  • 30 days notice before changes take effect

Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of new terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

Between Users:

  • Users should attempt to resolve disputes directly
  • Use the acknowledgment system to dispute transactions
  • We do not mediate financial disputes between users

With lagtut2:

  • Disputes are governed by Norwegian law
